Every 5 years, groundwater conservation districts must update and have their management plan approved through the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). The current District Management Plan approved by the TWDB in 2013 is due to be updated by January of 2018. On July 13, the Board approved the preliminary draft 2017 Management Plan for submittal to the TWDB for pre-review.
After receiving and addressing TWDB comments, the draft plan will be made available for public review and comment prior to a public hearing to be held in September or October of this year.
